Alyce graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University with a BFA in dance. During that time, she performed with the Philadelphia Civic Ballet and Ballet South where she was a soloist. Upon graduation Alyce moved to New York City to study at the Martha Graham School, where she was on scholarship for three years. During that time she performed collaberative and independent choreographic works with various company members, as well as performing with several other companies. Alyce then began teaching workshops at the 92nd Street YMCA. Upon her return to Philadelphia, she performed at The Painted Bride and was on scholarship at Philadanco. She then resumed position as owner of the Barn Studio of Dance.
Mary Watson - Founder

Mrs. Mary Watson, founder of the Barn Studio of Dance studied extensively at the Jack Stanley Studio and the New Dance Group, NYC. She skated professionally with the Skating Vanities staged by Gaye Foster of the Broadway Roxy Thearter, NYC and has toured the US and Canada. Mary was assistant choreographer with the Philadelphia Eagles' Eaglettes. She was also the Director of Dance at Chestnut Hill College where she taught for 10 years. She has enjoyed an association with various high schools in the area as choreographer and has directed the University of Pennsylvania's Quakerettes. Mary is a member of the Dance Masters of America and the Pennsylvania Association of Dance Teachers. Mary is now teaching ballroom classes at the Barn Studio of Dance.
